About Us

Rich Playz is a clothing brand that is based out of Austin, Texas, owned by myself, Desiree Meriwether. In 2021 my first son was born and at that point of my life, everything changed. I started thinking differently. Moving differently. I felt like I needed to level up, to do more for myself and my family. It was like a light bulb suddenly came on. I wanted to learn how to invest, building wealth, become financially free and leave something behind for my family. So, I started researching, and came across a Nipsey Hussle documentary on YouTube. I watched it and was immediately inspired. I knew bits and pieces about Nip but not the full story. I saw his play, and what he did for his community and family. RIP Nipsey. A week later I came up with my first play, I wanted to create a clothing brand so I can express my message through fashion. In 2022 the name Rich Playz was born.

 

Rich Playz is a brand that strives to inspire to make moves and also push creative culture forward. I approach my work with the mentality that every product made is a learning experience to improve my craft.
